The Account Executive will work with a team of top-notch earned media practitioners to develop and manage a variety of social media and traditional PR initiatives for Pineapple PR clients, including writing press materials, pitching stories and coordinating outreach initiatives and implementing digital and social media strategies for a variety of clients in the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, organized and results-driven, with a deep understanding of how the traditional and nontraditional media operates
Work with Account Director to manage daily activities
Serve as day-to-day contact for media and clients
Write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, biographies, etc.
Implement strategic social and digital campaigns across multiple platforms
Secure consistent and quality media placements with active pitching
Maintain client relations through meetings, conference calls, events, general contact
Prepare meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.
Assist with developing strategic and creative PR initiatives
Develop and maintain solid media relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers
Monitor and engage on behalf of clients in digital media space as appropriate
Assist with developing strategic and creative integrated PR initiatives
Participate in continuing education programs to stay current industry news, trends and technology.
Deliver analytics reports on traditional and social media campaigns
Minimum one to two years related experience in Public Relations, travel PR a plus
BA or BS in related field
Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and ability to assist clients with developing strategies on these platforms
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with travel or lifestyle press and influencers
Proficient in AP style
Proficiency using Cision, MS applications, Photoshop and Indesign

The ideal candidate possesses a mix of strong social media background and creative writing abilities. The Social Media Specialist will work with our Social Media Manager to develop and implement digital and social media strategies for a variety of clients in the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, organized and results-driven, with a deep understanding of social media and major platforms.
Create, curate, and manage all published content in line with client goals
Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
Stay ahead of the curve on social best practices and consumer behaviors
Implement social media optimization tactics aligned with our clients’ SEO strategies
Create and implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
Manage multiple social media accounts
Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
Solid writing skills for a variety of formats: blog, press release, media pitching
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and current social media platforms including Sprout Social, Crowdriff, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
1-2 years experience in related fields
Must be flexible, with the ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and frequently adjust to changing priorities and timelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Agency experience preferred
Growing hospitality PR agency offers experience and hands-on PR work. Pineapple Public Relations, an Atlanta marketing and public relations agency specializing in travel and tourism, is currently offering three and four-month internships.
The stipend-based internship is 12 weeks during the summer and 16 weeks in spring and fall. We will work with students to obtain course credit. Hours required are 20-30 per week completely in office.
