Travel writers and editors receive hundreds of pitches a week, so why do they take notice of ours? Because we have built solid relationships by doing our research, following trends and knowing what makes a good story – and they know we consistently deliver solid, relevant ideas that will resonate with their audiences. In fact, thanks to our reputation, we often have media contacts reach out to us because they know we’ll deliver content they can use (Now how cool is that?). One of the best examples of how we effectively put those relationships to work for our partners is our trademarked Travel Media Meetup.
Pineapple PR is valued not only by our clients but by industry-leading organizations for our media expertise. Travel Media Meetup, which grew out of our partnership with the Southeast Tourism Society, is now in its fifth year with our ninth event. This multi-stage media event brings more than 50 destination and media attendees together in a “speed-dating” format that encourages meaningful information exchange and fosters development of substantial media relationships.
Our agency creates, produces and manages this event from start to finish including attracting top-tier media; coordinating all food, beverage and venue requirements; and working as facilitators during the event to ensure that both destinations and media walk away with multiple mutually beneficial opportunities.
The response from both journalists and destinations has been phenomenal and makes Travel Media Meetup a favorite staple of Pineapple PR life. The event often sells out before we can even officially open registration!
Travel Media Meetup embodies what makes our agency a media relations powerhouse, showcasing our expertise in executing multifaceted media relations campaigns and events through masterfully balancing destination positioning, media relationships and prosperous partnerships with fellow industry professionals and well-respected organizations.
2018 includes an event in our nation’s capital, and a return to Atlanta. We have held Travel Media Meetup events across the Southeast in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Nashville, and Baton Rouge, and with offices now in Boston and Chicago, we have the resources and connections to take Georgia’s story to new heights with a Media Meetup of your own.
