Situation

Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites wanted to encourage visitation to all of their parks and historic sites, not just the most well-known parks across the state. When they began development of their annual statewide programming theme, they turned to our team to make it happen.

Solution

 We were certainly at an advantage here since Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites has been a client of ours since 2013. Familiar with all the parks, historic sites and their offerings, we developed a “Hidden Gems” theme to highlight annual programming at the lesser known but equally stunning parks and historic sites throughout the Peach State. Our team worked alongside their social media team to promote this fun campaign by encouraging followers to post photos of hidden gems as they discovered them. Targeting regional media as well as outlets in drive markets nearest to each park and historic site, we launched the campaign and the special “Hidden Gems” programming being offered including ranger-led hikes, behind the scenes tours, and canoe tours.
